Event Overview
What is the Oscar Grant Foundation Gala?
The annual Oscar Grant Foundation Gala is a formal evening of inspiration, community, and giving. The event raises funds for programs in youth empowerment, scholarships, mentorship, and community healing. Guests will enjoy dinner, a formal program, and both live and silent auctions.
Schedule & Arrival
What time does the event begin?

Silent Auction: Opens at 5:00 PM and closes at 9:30 PM.

VIP Arrival & Reception: Begins at 5:30 PM.

General Admission Check-In: Opens at 6:45 PM.

Program Start:7:45 PM.
Where should I check in?
Please proceed to the Guest Check-In Station located inside the Chandelier Pavilion Room. You’ll receive your table assignment and auction credentials. You will also be able to purchase drink tickets.
Dinner & Menu
Will dinner be served?
Yes. Dinner will be plated and served by Scott’s Seafood. During registration, you’ll select your entrée option. Vegetarian choices will be available. Please indicate any dietary restrictions during ticket purchase or by contacting the Foundation in advance.
Attire
What is the dress code?
This is a formal black-tie event. Evening gowns and tuxedos are encouraged. Guests are welcome to express personal style while maintaining a formal standard.
Weather reminder: The waterfront can get chilly in the evening—please dress warmly and bring a coat.
Seating & Tables
Can I request to sit with specific guests?
Yes, we will do our best to honor seating requests made before February 10, 2026.
Please email your request to dominique@oscargrantfoundation.org with your group’s names and ticket confirmation numbers.
Please note: No day-of seating changes can be made.
Parking & Transportation
Where can I park?
Closest parking options include:

Broadway Parking Garage – 451 Embarcadero West (a very short walk to Scott’s Seafood)

Jack London Market Garage – 101 Harrison Street (slightly further down Harrison Street)

Street & Public Parking – Various metered and valet options are available throughout Jack London Square.

Auctions
How does the Silent Auction work?
The Silent Auction opens at 5:00 PM and closes at 9:30 PM. Winners will be announced during the evening program and may pick up items at the Guest Care Station before departure.
How does the Live Auction work?
The Live Auction will take place during the program.

All sales are final.

Winners will receive a Certificate of Purchase once payment is confirmed at the Guest Care Station.

To avoid delays, guests are encouraged to place a card on file at registration for smooth payment processing.
Tickets & Refunds
Are tickets refundable?
Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event. After that date, the Foundation cannot issue refunds due to event commitments.
Can children attend?
Children are welcome; however, any child requiring a seat must have a purchased ticket.
Beverages & Drink Tickets
Will alcohol be served?
Yes. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, and drink tickets can be bought in advance during registration or at the event.
Payments & Donations
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as approved electronic payments. Checks may be accepted for large auction items with valid ID. For convenience, we recommend placing a card on file during registration to ensure a smooth evening.
Photography & Media
Will there be photography or media coverage?
Yes. A professional photographer will be on-site, and there is a strong likelihood of media coverage throughout the evening. By attending, guests consent to the use of photographs and video footage for promotional purposes by the Oscar Grant Foundation.
Accessibility & Special Assistance
Is the event accessible?
Yes. Scott’s Seafood and the Chandelier Pavilion Room are fully ADA accessible. If you require any special assistance, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
